Elevate your grilled cheese game with this luxurious recipe, featuring layers of sharp cheddar and Fishwife caviar, grilled to golden perfection on sourdough bread!
Fishwife Caviar
- • 1 tin Fishwife Caviar
- • 2 slices sourdough bread
- • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- • 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each sourdough slice.
- Place 3 slices cheese on non-mayo side of one piece of sourdough.
- Spread caviar on top of cheese slices.
- Top with 3 more cheese slices.
- Top with remaining slice of bread, mayo side up.
- Heat butter over medium low in a large skillet.
- Add grilled cheese and cover until cheese is melted and bottom side is golden brown, 5-8 minutes.
- If bread is getting too dark, turn down the flame.
- Flip and cook until second side is browned, 5 minutes.
- Transfer to a cutting board and slice in half. Serve immediately.
