    Surprised by the non fishy taste!

    Sardines have a fishier smell than the trout but they tasted delicious! I realized too late after draining the tin before eating that I robbed myself of the lemony experience as to me the preserved lemon bits were a bit bland but most of their flavor was probably in the oil. Oh well I’ll try leaving the oil in next time. I saw someone hated the spines but they’re easy to pull out with your fingers and it was delicious on a cracker with a smear of yogurt veggie dip. Recommend 👍🏾

    As good as it can be!

    I have tried so many brands of sardines. Trust me they are NOT all the same! Fishwife rates right up there with the best that one can buy. I love the preserved lemon which is such a change up from just being another canned fish product.
